About Me
Heather Maclin is the new Director of Student Activities and oversees the Office of Student Activities providing direction, training, and support for student clubs and organizations, as well as, acting as the advisor to SGA and IGA. Ms. Maclin comes to °®ÓÈÎïwith extensive experience in student activities, event planning, contract negotiation, community building, and small group facilitation. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she obtained her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ms. Maclin is the former Assistant Director of Wilson Commons Student Activities at the University of Rochester.
I will be overseeing Student Clubs/Orgs, Greek Life, and Student Government Association!

About Me
Dominic Hannon joined °®ÓÈÎï in April 2022 as the Assistant Director for Student Center Operations. Dominic graduated from SUNY Buffalo State with a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration, in 2019. He also holds a bachelors degree in Communication Studies from Niagara University, as well as an advance certificate in Assessment in Student Affairs. Having extensive experience in student union management, event coordination, business operations, and staff training & supervision, he brings a diverse experience and history to the Student Activities office.
I will be overseeing the day-to-day management & coordination of the Wick Student Center, ensuring that the Center is a welcoming environment for the campus community and guests of the university. I also assist in the maintenance/upkeep of the DaemenLife! Social Media accounts for the Student Affairs Division.Â
About Me
Nathan Flintjer joined °®ÓÈÎï in May 2022 as the Assistant Director of Student Activities. Previously, Nathan had worked at other colleges in New York, with experience in Residence Life, event programming, campus activities, and staff training & supervision. Nathan holds a M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University in Long Island, a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from SUNY Fredonia, and an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences from Alfred State College
Nathan oversees university-wide student programming, as well as hiring, advising, and supervising the student-run Campus Activities Team. Nathan will also be working closely with orientation programming, and assisting in the On-Call rotation.
About Me
Derek Raymond, originally from Newnan, Georgia, is a °®ÓÈÎï Class of 2023 graduate, earning his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Derek transitioned into the Graduate Assistant role under Student Activities in the summer of 2023. Derek previously held various leadership positions throughout his undergraduate time at Daemen, including as an Orientation Leader, Vice-Chair of the Campus Activities Team, and a Building Manager for the Yurtchek Student Center. Derek is currently pursuing his MBA degree at Daemen.
